We work with a large range of clients and we take pride in our work done for them, you can see some of what these clients say about us below.

“I have spent quite a bit of time reflecting on the past ten years at Bupa. That ten years’ has seen us grow from spending 15 million per year to 100mill a year with some amazing projects on the go. While visiting the sites I have been in awe of the scale of the buildings, the detail that lies within, cabling, framing, concrete, aluminium, foundations, plumbing, mechanical – so many items and so well co-ordinated.
This has all been down to you guys. Dave, Gary, Pete and Greg for 10, Rob for over five now. What’s made me look good is all of you. I cannot thank you all enough for the commitment and dedication you have made to Bupa, The RC hearings, the neighbours we have encountered, the councils, the wins, the losses, the awesome completed projects, the laughter, the pain of passive fire and especially the way we have solved every situation as a team. Nothing has beaten us.
I genuinely wanted to thank you all. You have made my time so enjoyable, and I consider you all personal friends through our time together. I know I can be frustrating and loud and demanding and challenging, but you have ridden the highs and the lows, and we have stuck together. Bupa is a better business with you all in our business. I really can’t recall any arguments we have ever had.
I’m sure wherever I go we will work together soon, so a genuine thank you from me. You are all legends in my world.”

“What separates Kensway from a lot of Project Managers that we deal with on various projects is their ability to create an environment whereby the focus on the team performance is fostered, and the team retention is valued. This creates a positive outcome for the project, and benefits the client. Kensway seem to mark their success on the performance of this team, which also separates them from other less valued Project Managers.”
Rob Campbell • Director, Foley Group Architecture
“Within the company Kensway has expertise in Project and Construction Management, Quantity Surveying and has served in the role of coordinating the work of design consultants on medium to large projects. I am impressed at the methodical and professional way the Company operates to deliver projects on time and within budget.”
Barry Millage, Barry Millage Architects
“The Kensway Team, both on-site and off-site have been fantastic to work with. We have quickly developed a real team spirit with them as we work together to keep to the programme while delivering to the client brief. The cooperation and commitment has been much appreciated by Armitage Williams. Kensway have been really responsive and totally professional, and nothing is a bother to their team who have also worked really well with the existing facility managers immediately adjacent to the site.”
Ben Harrow • Director, Armitage Williams Construction
“We are writing to show our sincere appreciation to you and your team for the support shown to our company during the 22nd February earthquake. Our residents wellbeing is the most important part of our business and during this time and the days that followed, your staff played a huge part in helping us with maintaining our values and principles as a business. We value that your staff assisted on site wither on the day of the earthquake or subsequent days, fixing areas that needed attention and assisting our staff and contractors with whatever was required.”
Dwayne Crombie • Chief Executive Officer, Bupa Care Services - April 2011
“I have known Peter Angus and Kensway Consultants for around 8 years.
Kensway played a large part in the start of Bupa’s development programme following the acquisition from Guardian Healthcare. They were engaged as the Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors for a considerable number of projects with their service particularly utilised on the larger more complex projects.
Kensway are currently managing the design and budgeting of the redevelopment of one of our Care Homes. The requirement for this project is for the design and build of a brand new Care Home to accommodate hospital level care plus the refurbishment of the existing building which will become a new dementia unit. This particular project is encountering a number of design challenges and constraints which Kensway are working through to find the ideal solution for Bupa and its customers.
Currently Kensway are Bupa’s main external QS provider currently providing budget advice on multiple projects most of which with start on site this year, their detailed understanding of the aged care industry proves very valuable.
I have always found Kensway to be honest, trustworthy and hardworking and when required they have shown a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure a job gets completed.
I don’t have any hesitation in recommending Kensway’s services as Project Managers or Quantity Surveyors.”
Richard Stephenson • Director - Development and Property, Bupa Care Services - May 2017
“Kensway Consultants have worked for Radius Residential Care for a number of years. They provide Project Management and Quantity Surveying services for us. These projects vary from new buildings, to extensions and refurbishment of existing Care Homes.
At times these projects are demanding, requiring a high degree of coordination and problem solving. The Kensway team approach each project with a professional and dedicated way. They have a strong understanding of the building act, building code and the conditions of contract, whether NZS3910:2013 or NZS3915:2003. Their long association with the residential aged care sector, is a distinct advantage in making the projects successful.
We would not hesitate in recommending the Kensway Team for your project.”
Brien Cree • Managing Director, Radius Residential Care Limited - May 2017
“I have known Peter Angus for over 16 years, when Peter joined our company, Harbourside Group Holdings as a consultant in 2001. We rebranded to Guardian Healthcare Group a few years later, with Peter playing a key role in growing the group to 45 facilities and a large number of retirement village units.
Peter met each building project challenge in a professional way, resolving the planning issue up to the final completion of the projects. Many of these projects were undertaken while our residents still enjoyed living at the facilities.
When Guardian Healthcare Group was sold to Bupa, my business interests kept me in the aged care sector. Today Heritage Lifecare use the Kensway team to look after the various projects we have planned or underway.”
